have been managing the church office since January 2011. I was so blessed to be
accepted by this church family. They are wonderful people. I truly enjoy coming
to work every day and helping out.
My husband, Ray, and I moved to Prague to raise our kids in a small town
community. We moved to Waverly in June of 2011 after both kids were out of
high school. I love the small town feel and only being 10 minutes from Lincoln.
Our son, Acea, lives in Lincoln and is an assistant manager at Jimmy Johns. He is engaged to Sally Aquin and they have a little girl named Reina. Our daughter, Halie, lives right across the
street here in Waverly and works at Husker Wellness and Rehab and is enrolled at Clarkson College to receive her bachelors degree in the Physical Therapy Assistant program. Or other daughter,
Christiana (Halie’s best friend), also lives across the street and works as a director Tabitha, she is married to Lance Vermeline and they have a little girl named Alaina. We also have added to our family Christiana's sister, Andrea, who is now living in Lincoln.
Ray and I are empty nesters. Finally time to take
a deep breath and relax....sort of.
First and foremost, I am a spouse and father. My best friend and partner in life is Sue with whom I will be celebrating 38 years of marriage on the 22nd of July. Together we have three wonderful
daughters. Timoree and her spouse, Chris, live in Lincoln. Hilary along with her three children, Cain, Liv, and Lilah, also reside in Lincoln. Our youngest daughter, Mallory, lives in Omaha and will be
marrying her best friend, Seth, in October. Next to God, these are the most important relationships in my life. The rest of my resume pales in comparison. I am blessed to have such a wonderful family. That holds especially true for Susan. I would not be the person I am without her presence in my life.
In regard to myself, I was born and raised in McCook, Nebraska, where my mother continues to live. I have degrees from McCook Community College, Kearney State College, the University of
Nebraska – Lincoln, and Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, MO. I’ve been a high school teacher and guidance counselor, a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner, and a few other things along the way. I am coming to you from First UMC in Holdrege and have also served churches in Syracuse, Unadilla, Exeter, and McCool Junction, Nebraska. When I can find the time, I love to play with my grandkids, read, play my guitar, work in the garden, and do
So…that’s a little about me. I look forward to serving you, hearing your stories, and learning about your journeys. As Easter people, we are reminded that new beginnings, resurrections, are
exciting and rich. My prayer is that so it shall be. May our time
together be Spirit led and full of God’s grace.
Peace and Blessings…

I have been the Director of Sanctuary Choir for over 40 years! I also direct the Celebration Ringers and Praise Team. I still enjoy all of them!
Roger Mandago has been my husband for 45 years, and we have three children. Kevin and wife, Shalla, live in Lincoln and own "Greta's Gourmet - Lincoln's Caterer", named after their daughter, Greta.
